Super friendly college - the staff, students and porters - with a wide variety of people. Small enough to know who most people are, but large enough to be able to choose your friends well! Very pretty buildings and gardens. Great support for students, but they don't push you too hard academically, just the right amount. Situated very near town but off the main tourist route which means you can get away from it all.

Always used to sneak through Clare as a shortcut across the river. Very nice little place!

I defintiely agree with the review below that says "Super friendly college - the staff, students and porters - with a wide variety of people. On top of that, I'd say there's a great social scene at Clare, both in terms of chilling with your friends & organised events/societies. Luckily most people at Clare aren't insanely studoius (unlike some other colleges), so you'll always find people who are keen to do something other than work.
Although Oxbridge has a reputation for being full of posh people, Clare has a good balance of people from private & state schools - most of my friends from college went to state schools. There's also none of the college-approved elitism.
One final thing: if you're very musical, Clare is definitely the college for you - there are lots of musical societies & many people have a very high standard (i.e. I think the majority of people in my year had at least Grade 7/8 in at least one instrument). If you're not musical, don't let that put you off tho - there's definitely plenty to do besides music at Clare!
